So heres the deal. My feets and face have turned red and well she suspects that, among other things, I get too much wheat in my belly. She says I'm allergic, I say it just doesn't care for me too much. My friends at Westie Julep have been helping me out...they know what it's like to keep a Westie sparkly and white....AND while I'm happy that they are helping, I'm not happy about getting my feets washed alot and stinky power put on them. BUT thanks from the bottom of my red feet!!! Just a matter of time before I'm back to being crisp white again. Anyway, if you have any treats that you can sneak my way, send them to me in an unmarked box so she doesn't know what they are. I'll gobble them up before she gets home.

Oh, sweet Hoke, get better soon (and back to the good treats!)!
Don't let the Monster have all the fun (and good treats)!

I'm just catching up on my blog reading and am glad we are of help ... I can tell you the treats Julep and Derby L-O-V-E- are Stella & Chewy's Carnivore Kisses - they have several favors but J&D are partial to the Salmon, Duck and Chicken - ok the beef also! These little 2.25 oz. plastic jars are expensive but what the heck - if the westies love them then I guess money is no object!

OMD -- I had the same problem and my treats got curtailed too. We figured it was allergies so now I only get this one treat that is just dried (and dried and dried and dried!!) chicken. Darn Westie skin!!!
OMD Hoke this is Awful... OUR treats are all curtailed too... butt that is beclaws Ernie is a Blubber Butt. We are so sorry that this has happened to you. IF we had any treats... we would be glad to send them... Hope this does not continue fur YOU.
Life is sooooooo unfair.
That seens to be happening every where!!!!
So happy to see you!!! Even for cats!!!!
You mean your furs are turning red! Well I never heard of such a natural occurance. You sure Monsterface just didn't put some hair dye on you to cause this predicament. You were green from the grass now red, why don't you try black my color. Well I hope you turn back to your natural color soon.
Thanks for being a friend

Okey Dokey...be on the look out for burgers, turkey, Cheetos and baked goods in a plain brown bag or box...
Hoke! I'm sad about your treat dilemma. As you know, my treat dilemma will never get better until I lose a pound or two. Sigh.
AroOOO, Stuart
Hoke, I know how you feel!
The vet said I'm on the verge of being a wee bit over weight, but the humans don't feed me treats at all! They feed me my normal food out of my bowl and pretend it's treats! I mean, how stupid's that? If I wanted food, I wouldn't do tricks, I would just go and eat some from my bowl!
Hope your paws get better! My westie friend Fyvie is also allergic to wheat, so he has to be careful what people give him.
Pippa :)
Oh Hoke, bad luck buddy. I've been through this a few times - it's a Westie thing it seems! I've been taken off wheat as well and WORST of all chicken!!! And no raw hides...... So you have my sympathy buddy! But on the plus side - I am allowed turkey, tuna and kangaroo. I hope that you are doin ok without the tasty treats!!!
