Rabbit Chase

So I'm in trouble...and when I say trouble I mean trouble.  He let me out this afternoon like he normally does. I use this time to patrol the yard and chase the birds and make sure that everything is just as I left it in the morning.  Well this afternoon, there was an intruder...a rabbit.  So I don't have to tell you what happened next but I will.  I chased that rabbit around and around and around...after all they do eat the flowers she planted and the veggies that he's waiting for.  Finally after 5 years of chasing them...I CAUGHT IT!!!  Ok it's not what you think...I didn't hurt it, I just carried it around in my mouth as I ran away from him...he yelled and hollered "drop it, drop it!!" about 10 times.  I did and it ran away.  HE LET IT GET AWAY after I worked so hard to catch it.  So now I'm grounded, in trouble, being sent to bed with no treats.  Hope I don't get in trouble when I catch that groundhog I saw in the garden today!

Stay away from the groundhog. They are mean. Rabbits are nice. I'm sure the rabbit knows you were just playing. Too bad your dad doesn't.
Good luck with getting out of trouble. Lincoln and I think it's pretty impressive that you caught the rabbit.

Little Hoke, I feel your pain. And I won't tell you the ending to my little adventure with rabbits in the yard. For some reason, They don't like it much when we do these things. But there's not much They can do about it. We're terriers after all.

Try giving your peeps the tail and ears down pout. That might help.

A terrier has got to be a terrier! We can't help it, we are hard wired!

I can sympathize! I caught a squirrel and my dad took it away from me too. I don't get it either!

Bambi caught a rabbit once and she killed it!! I was not happy!! She did learn that I didn't want them dead and she did learn to leave the wildlife we saw alone!!! She was so smart, so special!!! I miss her so much. Thank you so much for you kind words to me when I lost her. It has been 3 weeks and 4 days since she left. I am starting to feel like I am going to make it!! It is getting better.

ah, I understand - back home, in Dublin (I'm living in Australia now, for a while) our house is near abn empty field and public gardens - well, of course, that means foxes doesn't it? And do you think I was every allowed to bring one of those home? not at all. Of course, there were many times when I almost caught one but I was never allowed to continue the hunt. I always find the sad eyes, and slow walk and deep sighs mean I'm back in favour immediately...... Don't worry, there are always more rabbits ...... Groucho the Wonder Westie
