Someone said that a dog sleeps alot during the day, laying around in the sun and snoozing. Well I have to say, I don't think I sleep all that much during the day. After the disaster called the "closet guy", I realized that I spend most of my time running back and forth from room to room looking out the windows to see who's out there. There are dogs across the street that get to sit on the driveway without leashes and I see them looking at me. There's this cat that I DO NOT like, not a bit, called Whiskers that follows his mom for walks and he gets to sit outside too. There are birds that dive bomb the bushes out front and finally the mail-lady...she gets the biggest bark I think. I can hear her coming down the street and I just wait until she passes the house and comes back around to our side until I "say hello". So I ask you, how's a dog suppose to sleep when he's got all that going on outside?? Before I know it it's 4pm and he's home...can't sleep then. There's ball to play and treats to get. When they tell me it's time for bed...I head right upstairs and lay right down...7:30am comes around early AND I am not a morning person. How much sleep do you get during the day?? Sleep tight!

No sleep for me

Not much.....but when I do crash around 9pm, I'm down for the count! We're terriers, we don't sleep, we might miss something!!

It sounds like you have much too busy a schedoole to sneep much at all.
My Mommi paints and keeps weiwd houws..she goes to bed late and gets up late and I like to keep hew company. Sometimes I don't go out fow my fiwst walk till about ten thiwty in the mowning, but I snatch little naps doowing the day cause I don't want to get bags undew my eyes like she has

Oh, I understand all the stuffs going on during the daytime. Add to that a 1 and 3 yr old round here all day and 5 yr old after school plus Dog-zilla eating my stuffies BOL I get to bed by 10:30 and get up around 8:30 or 9 am!!I do try and get some snoozes in during the evening!!

We try to get some sleep during the day but our Mom rarely sits still so we have to follow her around to see what she's doing - and then there is that vacuum thingy that we must attack every time it comes out. What's a dog to do?? We go to bed every night at 9:00pm and then sleep until about 9:00am.

Now that it's spring, I don't have as much resting time as I used to. Now I have to be out patrolling my yard for possible security breaches!

We rest a bit when we are home alone, but there is much patrolling do do to make sure the house is safe!

dude, i totally understand! me 'n asa have to make sure the house is safe ALL DAY while mama 'n daddy are at work. do you have any idea how many squirrels and birdies and cats try to make themselves welcome at our house?? it's a tough job, but somebuddy's gotta do it!
