Sick as a dog

Wonder who ever made up that statement...but it's true!!  I'm sick as a dog. I spent the weekend in the kennel and on Wednesday I had a little tickle in my throat...well she thought it was kennel cough (even though she makes me get that shot) and he said I had the hack!!  This morning she woke up and I was breathing heavy like I had a lot of stuff in my snoot.  Turns out I have an upper respiratory infection...who would have thought that a dog would get that...and I'm not even sure how I got it.  On the bright side of things...he gives me my medicine in ice cream!!

Ya know how I know they love me?!  They give me lamb...not just lamb that's in my food but lamb that they just had for dinner!!!  Yes that's right, I got to have some lamb...ok, it was just a little but yum yum yum!!  Do you have favorite foods?

They are here

So they don't have any little ones...well other than me...but the neighbors have 2 grandkids that visit from Texas!!  Well they're here!!  AND they love coming over to play with me.  They play fetch with me and give me treats (ok, probably more than I should have) and they let me chase them all over the house, especially if that little one walks fast.  Tonight they came over 3 times...once to say hello, twice to say hello and play with me and the third time to say hello, play and have ice cream and brownies!!!  I hate when they go back to their Nana's house but she makes them go home to take dreaded baths!!!  They are here for the summer and I hope it's a long one!!

Sprinkles

Oh the summer fun these kids around here have...pools and basketball and the very fun ice cream truck.  Well they let me have some fun too....THE SPRINKLER!!  

Ok, well it wasn't that fun but I sure was curious and the more I poked around it the more they tricked me into have to get chased by the water falling.



They laughed, I winced but I'll do anything for a treat...oh yeah, that's how they lured me to that water monster.  Don't tell them but it was actually alot of fun.  I'm now soaked to the bone and have to dry off.  How do you guys cool down in the hot days of summer??

Jury Doodie

Well she's been on it and it stinks so she says.  It's really disrupted our schedule if you ask me.  I have to sleep a little longer and go out earlier in the afternoon...she forgot to feed me today and left my "bye-bye" treat on the counter where I couldn't get to it.  She says she's got another 2 days next week and then will be done.  So sorry I haven't been around but she forgot to charge this flat black box too.

p.s. haven't caught those groundhogs yet either.

In the words of his favorite tennis player..."you have got to be kidding me!!"  Here I am on this rainy day minding my own business and what does she and her sister do to me!!!???  They wrap me up in a blanket and start calling me Hoke-y Burritto!  Hokey is a burrito dog...Hoke-y is a Westie burrito boy!! I mean come on...do I not have any dignity left?  So here I am...get a laugh if you must!!  I'm gonna wrap them up, if I could just figure out how do use my paws with no thumb!!
