Well remember when I wrote that we won a prize from our friend Stuart?!  He won the cutest doggie contest and shared his loot with some of us!!  Well today it arrived and yipee, I love my new toy.  Its perfect for me, just the right size and squeeks too!! Stuart you did a fine job picking this one out of your loot for me!!  Thank you so very much.  I promise to take good care of it!!

Merry Christmas!!

Well they did it to me again...just when I thought the elf costume couldn't be beat...they went and put a big 'ole Christmas tree right on my head!!  Star and all!

They also got a new puppy from my Auntie Kris...I mean this thing doesn't bark or smell or nothing!  I'll have to show this new guy who's #1.  I tried to get her to play with me but she just stares at me like I'm crazy or something.  I did get a new coat though for all my walks oh and some new toys, good ones too so that I don't put holes in them.  Hope you all are having a day of belly rubs and special treat!!

Oh Christmas Tree

Now when I said that I would be good this year I didn't know that meant enduring the constant modeling of ridiculous and absolutely embarrassing accessories.  She found these glasses at Target for a dollar and just had to get them...see every New Years Eve they go to NYC to have a little dinner and always manage to find a pair of those silly glasses...you know the ones that you see on all those crazy people in Times Square?!  Thats what started it all!!!  I can hear you all chuckling now....just wait until you see what they are making me wear Christmas Eve!!  Go ahead bark your heads off...the only reason I didn't give her a bite is because I want good stuff in my stocking this year!!

Lucky Day

What a lucky day I had! I got to go for a walk and ride on my moms lap all the way there and back. We walked in Princeton which is one of our usual stops. We didnt see many people but we did see a giant black dog that didnt need to be on the leash. Thats one lucky dog.  On our walk we also found an "Indiana Jones" bridge.  I'm going to go and lay down now so that I get out of any more wrapping too.

Bows and ribbons and paper, OH MY!

  I LOVE TO SLEEP UNDER THE CHRISTMAS TREE!!  Not sure what it is about that big tree that I didn't get to help pick out (booo) but I spend most of this seasons naps there under those lights and ornaments and sometimes even behind the gifts.  This year they put the tree in the corner.  When they turned their backs,  I just climbed to the back corner and laid down...I stayed back there long enough that my Mom took my bed and tucked it back there for me.  You can't even see me and I like the quiet.  When everyone is over Christmas Eve, that will be my secret hiding place.

RIP Mr. Duck

Last year I got this duck...Mr. Duck as he's known in this house.  I'm not a fan of alot of toys but when my friend Malachy gave me this duck I was thrilled and so was my mom.  No stuffing for me to eat and throw all over the house and no chance of me destroying it in 2 minutes flat.  I have carried this duck around, let this duck sleep on my bed and have had a few good games of tug-a-war with this duck and my dad.  Well, the time has come for me to say goodbye.  The other day dad came home and Mr. Duck was laying on the floor with a big hole in his belly...now there had been a little hole but my mom tucked his head in it just to give it another few months of life...but this last hole was just too big.  AND while I will miss my duck, I must say that me winning my friend Stuarts contest couldn't have come at a better time.  I only have one other toy right now and that's a barbell...if that gets a hole in it I will be forced to eat shoes and books and furniture legs (I think they have a few spares hidden but I can't reach them).

Oh I wish for just one cookie
This past weekend I had a cookie exchange with my girlfriends from school.  Now I know what you are thinking...uuuggghhh all the work...but this is actually pretty easy and we use it as an excuse to get together.  Every year it's a family event...I bake (if you can call it that), Kevin tastes.  This year it took me a few tries and a few recipes to get it right but with Hoke as my inspiration this year, I finally got it.  While they don't make Westie cookie cutters, I used a Scottie one.  On my friend Dish's site you can see some of her pictures too!!! While I didn't win any prize for my baking I sure had the cutest cookies there....and the kids confirmed that.  How can you not smile when you have Scottie Sugar Cookies to enjoy!!

Bah Humbagh

So we get up this morning early (well not that early) cause today is Christmas Tree Day!!  All they have been talking about has been cutting this tree down and how I get to go cause I go everywhere with Dad.  So they say those words, "Hoke you wanna go for a ride" and I come racing around the corner.  Mom puts my Woolrich coat on, cause we are going into the woods, and off we go.  AHHHH  I can't wait to go pick out these trees.  We pull down the drive towards the farm and what do they see?!  A big 'ole sign that says NO DOGS, NO SMOKING.  So I get the whole no smoking part but NO DOGS!!  What kind of farm is this? So here I am all dressed for the cold and the woods and the cutting of the trees and they leave me in the truck by myself.  Can you imagine.  Heartbroken, I just barked until they came back with not one but two trees...double the disappointment if you ask me.   Anyway, here I am sniffing the trees to make sure they got the right ones.  Next year I'll just stay home and wait for them unless they find a place where I can go.
